Achieve Holistically Good Health With the Benefits From Zinc

Benefits of Zinc_R3 Wellness Center

If we were to talk about boosting immunity, aside from getting sufficient sleep and maintaining a regular exercise routine, many may think of supplementing the body with vitamin C on a daily basis while overlooking important minerals such as zinc. The benefits of zinc are not solely limited to helping the body maintain overall balance, but also helps to strengthen our immunity as well.

6 Benefits of Zinc for the Body

  • Boosting immunity and reducing inflammations

By nature, the body uses zinc in the function of immune system cells known as T-cells to enable the immune system’s more efficient and effective ability to fight off pathogens, as well as reduce inflammation when an infection occurs. Therefore, reducing the severity and duration of the infection or inflammation.

  • Maintaining a stable blood sugar level

Zinc also benefits the pancreas (an organ directly related to the hormone, insulin) by helping to synthesize and store insulin which more effectively maintains the balance of glucose levels in the blood.

  • Strengthens hair and nails

If we were to talk about zinc, one of the main benefits is that it is an essential mineral that contributes to building, repairing, strengthening hair and nails, regulating the function of sebaceous glands on the scalp as well as to help effectively reduce hair loss.

  • Strengthens male hormones

The benefits of zinc go beyond just boosting your immune system particularly for the case of males where zinc is considered an essential mineral for testosterone; zinc improves semen quality and also helps to prevent prostate cancer and diseases as well.

  • Helps to speed up wound recovery

Another benefit of zinc is that it contributes to making various systems in the body function more efficiently. One of these benefits is working together with platelets to improve blood coagulation in the event of a wound. It also stimulates the creation of new cells which help to speed up and improve wound healing.

  • Controls the functioning of the metabolic and digestive system

If you are on a diet, regular intake of zinc is another helper to see visible results faster due to its essential role in metabolizing carbohydrates and proteins, both of which are inevitably directly related to weight loss.

Benefits of zinc for each age group_R3 Wellness Center

Zinc is an extremely essential mineral for the body that the body is unable to create for itself. Consequently, we will need to consume foods that contain zinc in a sufficient amount each day (not more than 40 milligrams per day) depending on the age, gender and health of each person. For example, those with chronic diarrhea, currently controlling their diet, or have abnormal genes will require differing amounts of zinc intake.

The amount of zinc that should be received per day (milligrams/mg) is as follows:

(Information from the Department of Health and Ministry of Public Health)

We can supplement zinc from foods such as seafood, oysters, sunflower seeds, mushroom, pumpkin seeds, spinach etc. However, with society’s current fast pace, we often do not consume sufficient amounts of nutrients. Therefore, it would be better if we could directly supplement our body with sufficient amounts of zinc within just 15 minutes for immediate use without having to wait for digestion and absorption. This can be done via IV drip to replenish the body in conjunction with vitamin C for maximum nourishment to the body.
